August 2025 - Jono of Tanifiki Specialty Coffee Bar in Edinburgh Scotland, visits AMR in South Africa

Turning another “Dream into Reality”, Jono and his partner Ben of Tanifiki chose AMR to be part of their Dream in opening their Specialty Coffee Shop in Edinburgh. With both partners coming from the African Continent, it became their Mission to promote African Coffees on the Global Market and help to empower African farmers and communities by bringing the best and freshest African Coffee to Edinburgh.

It wasn’t before long, with the their African Coffee beans in hand and roasted on an AMR, that Tanifiki were voted best Coffee Shop in Edinburgh.

I had the privilege of visiting Tanifiki in January 2022, with their 6Kg AMR perfectly positioned in their shop window. What a moment when I walked up to the Coffee Shop and saw one of our roasters proudly presented, so far from home, I must say it was all tears for me, such a proud moment.

Now in August 2025, Jono is visiting the AMR Factory and Showroom in South Africa to yet again expand on his Dream. He has come to see the 12Kg Roaster in action as their expansion includes a Coffee Shop in Rwanda later this year and then one in South Africa following that. The 6Kg AMR, with its capacity of a minimum of 2 tons a month is no longer viable, as their Coffee has become so popular.
